LOVES
Wooden Cooking Utensils.
Why? Simple they are gentle on cookware (no scratches or scrapes), inexpensive, they last forever, they don't peel off into your food (bad experience with plastic cooking utensils), and Grandma always used them, and who is a better cook then your Grandma?
Kelsey highly recommends
Giada Wooden Spoons found at target found here......
And
Pampered Chef Bamboo line found here...
Nonstick Cookware.
This is a love, as long as you get high quality pieces. Why we love it? Easily to cook meats, eggs, potatoes, and well pretty much anything in without having to worry about things sticking. Also, SUPER EASY TO CLEAN!
Warning: If you don't get the high quality stuff, be sure to never ever use any type of metal utensil. Peeling will occur, and it will get into your food!
Stainless Steel Cookware
LOVE IT. Allows for even heat distribution, and doesn't alter the taste of the food (no metal taste). Also, you can start stuff on the stove top, and then put it in the oven! Most are oven safe up to 500 degrees! Our only compliant is they tarnish.
We recommend
Cuisinart® Contour™ Stainless Steel brand. You can find it here...
Glass Bakeware
Hanna swears by this stuff, and Hanna knows her baking. Why she loves it? It doesn't rust like metal bakeware, and it lasts forever!
Dutchovens
Okay we love, love, love us some dutchovens. They provide super even cooking, can go from stove top to oven, and are great for make stews and soups. Also, a lot of companies are making affordable dutchovens now, so you don’t have to choose between buying one or buying food for a month. Try Giada for target or Martha Stewart at Macy's.
The only downside is they are not for weak arm individuals. You need some serious muscle to maneuver theses puppies around. Also, they are a little hard to clean. Despite these things, we still love them.
Crockpots
This one is self-explanatory! Who doesn't love to cook in the crockpot?
Recommendations... get one with a removable insert (this makes cleaning easier).
Standing Mixers
Stay tuned to find out exactly why we love these. We will hopefully both be getting one in the near future. But for a little sneak peak, we love the fact that there is basically no physical work involved. You just dump things in and flip a switch!
These are just some of the things we love to cook with, and recommend to anyone who is setting up a kitchen! We want to know what you love or don't so much love to cook with! Post your comments in the comment section below!
Enjoy!
